Blog Tour/Review - Prey of Desire by JC Gatlin (#giveaway $50 GC)

Mystery/Suspense
Date Published: February 17, 2014

Synopsis

They said the disappearance of two high school students over 25 years ago was mystery that couldn't be solved.
No one ever said it shouldn't be.

Following the abrupt end of a relationship, college student Kimberly Bradford finds comfort in the friendship with her over-the-top neighbor, Mallory. And, Mallory encourages her to get back out there. She would of course if it weren't for the thrilling little love notes and gifts she's been receiving .

Kim thinks they're from her ex-fiancee, not realizing he's been murdered. Worse, whoever is sending her all the extra attention is not only in her inner-circle, but has a connection to that unsolved murder some 25 years ago. That connection puts her life in danger, and exposes secrets better left buried around her closest friends and family.

Review

Book – Prey of Desire
Author – J.C. Gatlin
Publication Date – February 17, 2014
Type – Stand Alone
Genre –Suspense
Rating – 3.5 out of 5 Stars

Book provided by Author (Blog Tour) in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed reading this book from the beginning to the end – even though I do think the ending was rushed a bit and I would’ve liked to have known more details about after the murderer is caught.  Besides that though it was easy to connect with all the characters and I felt that I was transformed into Kim’s life and following right beside her in the terror she was experiencing.

Once you pick this book up, get ready to devote your day to it.  This is one of those books that you will not be able to put down and will find yourself wanting to turn the next page to find out what is going to happen next.
