"Taken" - Episode 1

***** 5 Sizzling Mafioso Kidnapped Stars *****

Author's note: Like a television series, this book series is broken up into seasons and episodes. Each episode is approximately 20,000 words long, with a new one coming out on average every 3 weeks until the first season has ended. There will be fifteen episodes per season.

"Taken" is the first book to be released for this series and DAMN, can I tell you what a HOT and STEAMY ride this is going to be!!

The author has the ability to catch your attention on the first page and have you anticipating what is coming on the next - all the way up to the end!  What a masterful writer Marita is!

This book introduces us to the main players in the series where the premise of the book deals with an FBI agent and the Italian Mafia.

Rita Kovak

Rita, the FBI agent, is a vengeful widow looking for retribution to the murder of her husband from the D'Angelo family but specifically from Frano (the Don).  She volunteers for an undercover job in which she must be kidnapped and be trained by Jagger to become a "sex slave" for auction to the Black Russian.

Jagger D'Angelo

Jagger is the cousin to Frano and is the one who kidnaps and trains the women to be submissive for the sex slave auctions.  He is a HOT HOT HOT anti-hero but at first meeting he comes off as an arrogant asshole.  Deeper into the book, we learn that he has some major fucked up problems that stems from a priest in another mafioso family.  Wait till you read that messed up scenario!

Alberto D'Angelo

Look up "asshole sadist" in the dictionary and that is Alberto.  He is brothers with Frano and the brawn behind the operation.  There is bad blood between him and Jagger and he just loves to stir up trouble between his brother and Jagger.

Frano D'Angelo

Frano is the mastermind and head of the operation, including being a sick fuck on top of it.  When we first meet Frano he seems like a decent guy - soft spoken and empathetic to Rita --- but that changes instantly after the "bathtub" scene!

Re-Cap

So, we have our character development in this book and this sets the stage for the soap opera of the FBI meets the Italian Mafia....Rita is set in place with revenge on her mind while Jagger begins his "mind-fucking" in order to train this sassy strong-willed girl.

Toward the end of the book, you start to question Jagger and his true intentions - there are times you feel sorry for him but then wonder if this is just a set-up in order to play his games with Rita.

Who is the true Jagger?

And WTF was that cliffhanger?  Shit, Marita.....you just about gave me a heart attack with that one!!

"Discovered" - Episode 2

***** 5 (Part 2) Sizzling Mafioso Kidnapped Stars *****

"Discovered" is the second book to be released for this series and DAMN, can I tell you what a HOT and STEAMY ride this is continuing to be!!

The author has the ability to catch your attention on the first page and have you anticipating what is coming on the next - all the way up to the end!  What a masterful writer Marita is!

This book continues where "Taken" left off and spins more saga about the D'Angelo family.

Review

We ended "Taken" with a major cliffhanger of Rita being "found-out" by Frederico

Was her cover blown?

Will Frederico rat her out to the family or does she have an ally?

Rita Kovak

Rita is now in the hands of Frano after Jagger's breakdown with Alberto.  Low and behold, Frano hits her with a few surprises of his knowledge on things. (Sorry I'm trying not to give any spoilers away)  Rita's mind and empathy is starting to soften toward Jagger and feels that he should be rescued also while she tries to deal with her hatred toward Frano and the conflicting excitement she gets from being used by him.

Jagger D'Angelo

Poor, poor Jagger and his unfit state of mind right now.  After being degraded by Alberto in the first episode, Jagger has to deal with the mental problems of remembering his past with the Padre.  On top of that, he has to deal with Alberto's wife professing her love for him along with being told by Frano that he will be given 10 lashes for cutting off the Padre's pee-pee.

While being prepared for the Donatelli dinner and whipping, Jagger is drugged and in the hands of Alberto having to listen to his declarations of the truth.....not only that but we see that Jagger is being used as the "whore" he used to be.

Alberto D'Angelo

WTF Alberto?  Seriously?  What a dickwad you are!  Not only what you did and said to Jagger but how could you turn your back on your family?  How could you sell them out so fast?  I just hope the "KARMA" bitch is smiling her cunning leer at you right now!

Frano D'Angelo

Frano plays a major role in this episode since he is the new trainer for Rita.  We find out some truths about Frano and he may not be the cold calculating asshole we all thought in the first episode.  Could he really have a heart underneath that Grinchy exterior?

Padre Michael Donatelli

Shit, fuck, damn the Padre is one messed up person of the cloth....we finally get to meet the cockless shithead in this episode and he ready for Gabriel/Jagger to make his penance.

The Donatelli Family
"We're moving on up to ....."  Sorry can't give that spoiler away

The characters are starting to unfold now and the plot is growing THICK....Jagger is pretty messed up when we leave him in this episode in the hands of the Padre now...wow...what a piece of meat Jagger is....being thrown to Alberto then the Padre.

Rita is fighting her growing feelings toward Jagger and Frano while feeling guilty because of her husband Matt.

Alberto is sitting high on his ego while stepping on all the little ants in his way.  He don't care who he is going to fuck in ass (hahah) as long as he gets what he wants.

Frano, oh you hunky piece of male flesh, what is going on in your mind?

Padre Michael, oh you silly silly follower of God ----- you know they do have prosthetics for that little problem of yours.

OK, Marita, you did it to me again....left my freakin jaw on the floor with that cliffhanger so you are gonna have to either start writing faster or go a bit easier on this weak heart of mine! *jk  Love ya hun!

"Betrayed" - Episode 3

Rating – 5 Out of 5 Stars

"Betrayed" is the third book to be released for this series and HOLY SHIT, can I tell you how deep this book is touching on betrayal, hidden secrets, identities, and so much more!

Marita once again takes us on a roller-coaster of a ride through the many hills, twists and turns in the D’Angelo family.

This book continues where "Discovered" left off and spins more saga and drama about the D'Angelo family along with bringing the Donatelli family in to take over.

To catch up or recap on the players of the previous episodes - see my review here:

Review

We ended "Discovered" with another major cliffhanger of Frano being thrown in a slave cell while the Donatelli family (with the aide of Alberto) takes over the reigns.

Jagger is once again in the hands of Padre Michael.
Padre Michael wants Rita dead thinking that she is his nemesis, Sophia, who he killed before for holding on to Jagger’s heart.

Rita Kovak

Rita, Rita, Rita…..who the hell are you? And why can’t you remember your childhood except for tidbits of familiarity with Frano and being underwater?  Rita and Frano are locked in a cell together and the fighting starts….Rita is more than pissed at Frano for raping her before and wants revenge.  Yeah, Rita was a bit of a bitch, but you know what, it only added to the intensity of the lust radiating between her and Frano.  Frano deserved it and I bet you my first born that he enjoyed it as much as Rita did.

In this episode, Rita gets a surprising revelation about Matt and shit oh fuck oh please…..I never saw that coming!!

Frano D'Angelo

Frano is only stealing my heart more and more as these episodes continue.  Yeah, he’s a bad ass, but when you really think about it, he has such a soft spot for Rita.  He can get violent with her but she LOVES it, people!! Just as much as she loves inflicting pain on Frano – she loves it being performed on her!  She is a violent lover and all that nipple biting, anal probing and clamps….creates more lust between Frano and Rita.

Frano is brought down so many notches by the Donatelli family and he also learns that what he thought were lies about Jagger is really the truth.  He has to deal with all the truths hitting him at once….he lost soooo much in this episode!!

Jagger D'Angelo

Poor Jagger is still in the hands of the Donatelli family and Padre Michael….but now he also has to deal with Alberto.  He is being used as the “hole” he was bred to be.

Do you think Jagger will give up though?  By the end of the story, Jagger realizes that he may still be able to get out of this mess and his manipulative nature comes back full force.

Alberto D'Angelo

This boy has some serious issues – betraying his brother and family for what??  Just because he wants to toss some salad?  I have no other words for Alberto….he is no better than the cockroaches living in a crack house!

Padre Michael Donatelli

ONE SICK FUCK…..He just wants to stick that sewn on appendage in any hole he can find!!

Wrap Up

This book was responsible for me not getting ONE THING DONE THIS MORNING at work!  I sat staring at my computer screen that people walking by starting asking me if I was awake….They really would have put me out to pasture if I didn’t get up after the violent almost sex scene to have a smoke….whew…..that was HAWT!

I can’t wait…..I want the next episode now!  I’m telling you….I had to be peeled off the floor before I could get back to work.

"Poisoned" - Episode 4

Rating - 4 out of 5 Stars

Review

"Poisoned" is the fourth book to be released for this series and I think it was more of a build up for the next book in the series, I found the beginning a bit lacking in action. It wasn't until the last 15-20% of the book that everything fell into place and the shit hit the fan. Yup....you guessed it - we are left with another major cliff-hanger - this time having to do with Alberto and Bianca.

I believe that Marita used this episode to spin more drama between the D'Angelo's, Donatelli's and The Black Russians. I'm assuming she is building and building up the tension so the climax (hopefully which is coming soon), will be a fan-fucking-tastic orgasm to beat all orgasms.

See, even though I raped this episode of 1 star (yeah I'm getting into the spirit of the book) ----- it was still such a winner in my book - Marita is doing something here that I'm not sure everyone is getting a handle on - she isn't just writing a book that we all read, then smile, write a review and move on....HELL NO!!

Marita is writing a series of episodes in which hours are spent between friends from all different spots on the globe discussing what might be coming next or who is going to end up together? Different scenarios are played out by acquaintances and friends in which yelling (well the best which can be done while typing), disagreeing and agreeing is shared between groups of us. We anticipate the next release, we try to guess who the stories are going to be about and we all agree to meet in about 2 weeks time to laugh, cry, vent, rant, rave, and any other emotion we feel during one of these episodes.

Even though these books are about rape, sex slaves, death, torture and other taboo items......we as a group are bonding together - we are growing friendships and love between each other even though we have never even met face to face.

Am I being too mushy right now? I just feel the love for Marita because I have to tell you that I had such a great time this afternoon with my besties discussing what the next episode has in store for us.

I love you Marita and my GR friends ---- blech...I'm gonna go puke now!! Hahahaa

Rita Kovak
Hahahaaa...Rita spent this episode knocked unconscious.

Frano D'Angelo

Frano still doesn't have his memory back and is still thinking the Donatelli's haven't even been to the D'Angelo's for dinner and some whipping. (No, not whip cream silly). He's being drugged by Alberto to keep Frano out of any business....but there is one time (at band camp) that Bianca walks in on Frano while he's stroking his "massive" dick and calling out Rita's name. So are the memories coming back?

Jagger D'Angelo

Jagger is still locked up in the whore house, healing from his wounds after the torture the Padre put him through. We have one instance where Alberto comes a calling and is hoping to make love...but his plan backfires. This just feeds Alberto's anger toward the Donatelli's.

Alberto D'Angelo

Alberto is in his glory as acting Don. He wants his Jagger - he wants Bianca as just a trophy for the outside world and he wants Matteo to leave him the fuck alone! He has major plans for running his family and bringing down the Donatelli's - but Alberto being Alberto (dumb fuck) this will never pass.

Padre Michael Donatelli
Must be visiting the Vatican during this episode.

Bianca

She loves loves loves Jagger and is willing to do anything for him and for his love returned to her. She's even willing to sacrifice her life in order to free him from the Donatelli's. Hmmmm? What plans does she have up her sleeve?

Matteo

He's the comic relief in this episode and will have you cracking up with the shit he says and does to Alberto. Even though Matteo is one sick fuck and is hated for what he did to Rita....he can still make the laughs come.

Thierry

Jagger's half brother and cohort in crime with Bianca. Poor boy has been through the ringer with Alberto and is scared shitless of him. Your heart will break for him!

Wrap Up

So there wasn't much sex in this book even though the scene with Frano stroking his cock had me creaming....it will all come to a head soon!!

I can’t wait…..I want the next episode now! I’m telling you….I had to be peeled off the floor before I could get back to work.

"Escape" - Episode 5

 Rating – 4 Out of 5 Stars

Review

This episode was one major drama scene after the other.  It was very easy to get caught up in what was going on that the reader may lose sight of what this series is supposed to be about.  I believe that there was too much action and twists to keep the reader stabilized on the premise of the story.

I was entertained but had so many questions about how scenes played out.  Enough said about that…..and I know that Marita noticed what was going on with the series, so much so, that she contacted a few of us and asked our opinion and help with getting the series back on track.

Now, it’s my turn to get up on the soap box and start my rant.  I have had the pleasure of working with Marita on this blog tour and have chatted with her while she writes each episode as a buddy group and I honestly have to say that I have NEVER met any author who takes criticism as well as Marita.

She read a review on GR that I even cringed when reading and prayed she didn’t see it or get upset about it.  You know what she did?  She got on our Group and said – “it was time to get the story back on track” How many authors do you know who can take that, learn from it and strive to do better?  I know in my past with GR, authors can get nasty, flag and complain to GR, but it takes a strong minded author to “chew the meat and spit out the bones”.

As I step down off my soap box, I want to let all reviewers know that the majority of the authors do take what we write seriously and use that to enhance their future writings.

Rita Kovak

She is just all over the place in this episode.  Rita is still held captive with Jagger at “The House of Whores” while the banter and sexual tension escalates between the two of them.  Jagger wants to help Rita escape but she doesn’t want to leave without getting Jagger to safety.

They have a run in with Matteo and Rita starts spewing out a twist on who she is to get Matteo confused and this gives Jagger and her the chance to finally escape.  Just when Rita thinks she has everything under control with her mission for the FBI, she once again hits a road block.  Not only that…..but something so extreme seems to jog the memories of her past.

We leave Rita locked in a cell at the D’Angelo house.

 Frano D'Angelo

Frano gets his memories back after Thierry runs to him for help after the beating Bianca took from Alberto.  He confronts his brother and banishes him from the family.  Frano is ready for revenge against the Donatelli’s and he goes gung ho to get his cousin and Rita out of their clutches.

At the end of the episode, Frano is met with the greatest confliction in his life.

Jagger D'Angelo

Jagger is starting to heal from the torture at the hands of The Padre and continually believes that Rita is really his long lost love.

He is met again with Alberto in this episode and we start to learn how unhealthy Alberto’s obsession with Jagger really is.  With everything Jagger has gone through, the only thought in his mind is his own death and how appealing it seems at the present time.

Alberto D'Angelo

Alberto finally gets caught by Frano and is made to confess his sins against his family.  Alberto easily comes up with more lies twisted around the truth trying to keep his allegiance with the Donatelli’s in order to have his obsession, Jagger.

Has Alberto gone too far this time?  What do you think is going to happen once Alberto finally meets back up with Jagger?

These questions and more are answered during this episode!

Padre Michael Donatelli
Must still be at the Vatican during this episode.

Bianca
Not dead…..hmmm?  I wonder what the future holds for her after this?

Matteo

Matteo’s one true obsession, Alberto still wants nothing to do with him and the little green horns are showing towards Jagger.  Matteo wants Jagger dead so Alberto will reciprocate his own feelings.  There is a confrontation between Matteo, Jagger and Rita that will have your jaw dropping to the floor.

Thierry

Thierry tries everything to get Frano to wake up from the drugs and remember everything that has happened.  We do learn though in this episode that Thierry has very strong feelings for Frano and has been carrying a “torch” for him.

Wrap Up

Well, everything came to a head in this book and opens up a new direction for the next set of episodes.  It only makes me wonder how Marita is going to continue after the MAJOR CLIFFHANGER she left us with this episode!
